E2 Elevates The New American Remodel ® 2021

Each year, the NAHB International Builders Show features two show homes featuring the latest design trends, product innovations, smart home technology and green building techniques.

E2 Homes is proud to have been tapped for The New American Home Remodel ® 2021, a completely enhanced and rebuilt property that highlights the importance of innovation in the remodeling industry.

The Orlando, FL project is a 5,474 square foot, five-level home built in 1973, dubbed Lakeshore Levels by our team. The house was failing in several areas, and the challenges included how to make it more livable, how to make it more accessible and how to open it up with its unique structural elements.

A principal goal of TNAR is to maximize housing performance and energy efficiency, and with the poorest performance of any of the original homes previously featured in the TNAR program, this house certainly had room for improvement. That only gave our team more motivation to showcase what the latest in building innovations can do to enhance performance.

The interior and exterior renovations included turning the original five levels into four and adding approximately 1,400 square feet of living space, bringing the total home to six bedrooms and six and a half baths with a showroom two car garage, wine room and courtyard. The improvements focused on conservation and efficiency, and the home will now even generate power on its own, which will help it achieve net-zero status.

The project is scheduled to be completed in November, and the unveiling will take place at the 2021 NAHB International Builders’ Show®, February 9-11, right here in Orlando.
